A few years back YouTube was a amazing site,it had loads of funny stuff but now it has nothing whack videos.All of the "big" people on youtube that get millions of views are so ***** cheesy to the point where i cant even watch their videos.I dont see how youtube is still even popular.The only people i like on youtube is Elpresador and hotdamnirock.

Well I agree about the majority of the youtube celebrities are pretty dull but that doesn't mean its all bad. Personally I subscribe to a wide range in channels from gaming to politics meaning there is usually something good on. In fact the other day I spent about an hour watching all the How it should have ended videos which were great :D
'fraid youtube has turned into a commercial site, fun videos don't get anywhere any more. I remember when there was only like 20-40 call of duty videos on it and now look. Its been completely destroyed by music videos and the featured videos system. Along with the removal of the rating system so that unpopular videos still get views.
Youtube isn't boring to me, but having an account is. I went to log in one day months ago and all of a sudden, I was being forced to make a google account to tie into my youtube account as well as forcing me to link my cell number to it as well. I haven't logged in yet. Making and linking a google account is one thing, but forcing me to link my cell number in order to use my account too....hell no.

There is like a limitless number of videos on YT. If your bored with it you just haven't found the ones that fit your taste.22Toothpicks
pretty much this^ you don't have to stick with the stuff that gets loads of views. Heck I'm watching a guy right now who only gets a few hundred views a video, but I think his stuff is quality because most of his stuff is on a subject matter that I personally find interesting. It's all about what you like and finding videos on that subject.
Youtube is fine. The problem is the poeple who think it's the end of the world to watch a 15s-30s commercial before or during a video. I understand your video is only a minute long, but you wouldn't be able to watch it otherwise, so stfu.

The featured videos are simply retarded, and to be avoided at all costs. But between the evolution of Youtube Poop, Hitler parodies, documentaries, game coverage, game soundtracks, and so many of the MST3K episodes being available there, there's always something of interest on Youtube for me.
i can sort of see what you're saying, but all the content you talked about that youtube'used' to have is still there. its just being dominated by 'Youtubelebrities' now which you see on the front page every day, and even in video suggestions. i loved Youtube back in 2005-2007, and still enjoy its convenience today but the flood of these fame whores who all over youtube has made me start to dislike it.
Youtube's not boring, but it's become extremely commercialized. With stuff like advertisements before a clip and VEVO, I'm just not a fan anymore. It used to be about making lesser known videos popular....now it seems that youtube controls what becomes popular and gets views.
No, you have to find the right channels. So no youtube celebrities (it looks like where the moneys at these days), as there are plenty of other channels that are funnier, do more effort with their stuff and don't really care about views but about entertaining people.

The appeal of youtube has significantly dropped the more and more mainstream it becomes, but like said before... I find it hard to become bored on the Youtubes.
