There are some great things about it, yes, but I've noticed the forums have been lacking activity as of late.
Indeed the forums are quiet and that lack of inactivity is reflected in the huge amounts of SPAM we get for some reason.JustBeYourselftell me about it.

Would be nice.Granted, after we are all past level 5 ourselves with the reset. :P Are the levels also being reset? I didn't know that yet. Does that mean there won't be any level restriction for making threads in forums like system wars for a while?[QUOTE="Allicrombie"][QUOTE="Pirate700"]Alli, please, do whatever you can to influence there being a level 5 requirement to make threads on the new OT.

Does that mean there won't be any level restriction for making threads in forums like system wars for a while? levels are being reset but they are gonna take your current level and post count into consideration and give you bonus points so you don't have to start at level 1. The golden years of Gamespot was from 2005-2008.AckadGS is going downhill fast and when tey do the next update and take away unions, reset user levels etc then it's basically going to be pointless.
The golden years of Gamespot was from 2005-2008.AckadHell yes! We can't forget the GS brotherhood which had Rich Gallup, Jeff Gertsman, and Ryan Davis (Miss you Ryan) :(

Do we have a Paragon/Renegade bar next to our names that's only visible to website staff?

agreed
other then old mods. they were the worst ever
I wonder if that will change when the site is re-made. Sure OT is not what it used to be. When it was at it most active, we didn't have so many people pushing the line for what they could get away with either. The site is better but, unfortunately, OT seems to be on life support. 5+ minutes can go by with zero new posts where in the glory days, 5 minutes would burry a thread into the second page.

lol
With the changes they're making
I strongly doubt it
Might spike for the first few weeks because its new and shiny
But with most of the changes being for the worse
I forsee a decline
The golden years of Gamespot was from 2005-2008.AckadPretty much this. Gamespot in general was at its apex in those years. And then came a site overhaul in either late 2008 or early 2009 that introduced a hell of a lot of glitches and bugs. The sites server also got so god damn slow. It took 30 secs to a minute to pull up post history and 2 to 3 minutes to get to a union when starting off from the home page. The server slowdown was one of the main reasons why I stopped participating in unions...
4I am here for the forums too.
And it seems the same as always to me

It will always be the same. Â Folks who think their opinions are meaninful as long as it's within the posting rules. Â Â
All hail the internet! Â Where things change but, no one ever changes anything!
**** no.................
Activity is slow..................
Troll threads reign supreme....................
A good percentage of the good posters are gone........................
Unfair suspensions are handed left and right...............................
Guess I'm here out of habit............................
