Is it normal to not want to start working until you graduate?

I am now a senior and have 3 months of school left, so I just decided to focus on my school work since I have a bad habit of waiting till the last minute to do things.
Just don't want it to come in the way, so what do you think?

I'm in college and i'm still not working, thank god for FAFSA. Quite honestly, if you can afford it, it would be best for you to keep your entire focus on your school. Statistics say that people who work part time while attending school full time have lower grades than those who dont work at all.

I only started working after high school. Currently in college and maintaining a "job". My job is writing a book that hopefully becomes a best-seller.

Sure that is normal, school is more important than a job, remember that

I already know about the low scores and such, but I still get 70's. Which again, is because of my laziness.

It sounds agreeable, I have 21st century schloarship program which gets me an education to some indiana Colleges for free. I plan on attending IVY tech for my Culinary degree than on to CIA (Culinary Institute of America) To get a futher understanding lol

I worked all through high school. Lots of my friends didn't get a job till they graduated, but that was due to laziness and not caring about a job. It's not uncommon for people to not hold down a job until the grad though.

I dont have either. I have a "job" at Anthis. We cook everyday so to me it feels good enough to be a job...even though we arent getting paid :(

Hmmm, i've managed to get by well. My highschool GPA sucked at 2.8 so i'm attending my first semester at a CC and then transfering on to a 4-year (Preferably one with good science and technicle courses, as required to join the Airforce as an officer). Loans supply me enough money for a working vehicle, gas, etc. etc.

Just getting by on bills for living on my own, but i've had so much homework even in my first term that it probably wouldnt be smart to get a job. I have a 4.0 right now and i'd like to keep it that way :P

I am with you. I am a senior and haven't had a job yet other than mowing a few lawns. There isn't much time left in your day with work and school and I can't do both because I am naturally a pretty lazy kid.

I started working when i was 16 (grade 10, right now i'm finishign my second year of university). If you can afford to not work, then don't work, it's as simple as that (like i said, i worked since grade 10, and i finished my senior year of highschool with around a 95 average, but i often argue that highschool is a joke, so thats a differnet thread, i'm currently working near full time hours while maintaining an average of just under 90 (I'm in a canadian univeristy, they don't deal with GPA, simply percent averages). I wish i could not work, but i need the money (rent, tuition, books, etc) and want to stay away from student loans as long as i can. Even in highschool, i didn't really need a job, but i never liked just getting everything from my parents (i was pretty pround to have been in highschool, having bought my own car, computer, tv, and other miscellaneous electronics that i didnt really need but purshcased anyway).

Quite honestly, the last four years of my life i was far too lazy to get anything on my own...I was in highschool after all....Now that i'm in my first year of college, i'm starting to get out of that mindset pretty quickly..
