Well it's possible if it's a 2door with 3 people, or you're not in the car. You can't be hanging out with your gf every single day for every moment of the day.

If it's anything but a girl or a gay guy, then I think that could be a problem. Avoid making too much of a scene about it though, girls tend to side with the best friend.

If the best friend is a girl then fine...but if its a guy then no, definitely not ok.

I would call her out right on the spot and ask her how she thinks that is appropriate. It's not his fault that he's a spineless bottom-dweller that purposely chills in the friend zone so that he can be on the first call list when you guys break up, or when she gets drunk.

It'd bother me so much if it was this one specific best friend. She used to have a GIANT thing for her until me (she still might...?) and since she's a 5 on the kinsey scale it's worrisome =\.
