Is it possible for cherry blossoms to grow in Florida? :(

I live in Florida, and I was just wondering if cherry blossoms have a shot at growing here. I know they're native to Japan, and that they're also in Washington D.C., so it doesn't look like it's possible, because they have colder winters than we do. Down here, we actually have a similar tree - think of it as a cherry blossom, only with bright yellow flowers. There's an explosion of them where I live, and now that it's Spring, the leaves fall off, and you're left with nice flowers.

Theres plenty of cherry blossoms in Missouri. There pretty for about a week, then all the flowers fall off:P

I actually created this thread, because I ordered three trees from more northern states - a cherry blossom, a white dogwood, and a weeping willow that came free. I know weeping willows grow here, because I've seen it in a nursery here. They were shipped with no leaves - just the bark, and after I planted them in pots, it doesn't look like they're doing too good.
