No I don't think it's possible; in fact all scientific data points to the conclusion that ALL consciousness ceases to exist after death. Consciousness requires brain activity to exist and when you die, your brain activity ceases.
What is consciousness? I like to think of it as the ability to apprehend your surroundings, thus when you sleep you are unconcious.

Science can't prove what happens when you die, you can't study what you can't see. We need to just accept that we will never really know.
I think when you die you will have a new life but has nothing to do with your past one.JangoWuzHere
 how would that work, the only part of us that truely makes us "us" is our brains, our brain isn't getting transplanted into a worm when we die.

Science can see that when you are alive, you have brain activity. When you are dead, you do not have brain activity.
Science can tell you that when you have a thought, your brain 'lights up'.
Science can tell you that when you're dead, you can not think therefore your brain does not 'light up', or vice versa.
Science can tell you a lot of things.
I will tell you not to fear death, it's completely natural. It's also completely natural to think that there is a life after death, but I will tell you that there is not.

That it can tell you all those things, doesn't mean it can tell you what happens when you die. It doesn't know, it seeks to know, but as of yet it doesn't. Sure it knows that a brain ceases to work after death but who's to say that there isn't more going on in the brain than meets the eye? There are numerous mysteries to the brain that have yet to be solved.

Well he's entitled to his opinion of course, but he does seem like he's trying to pass it off as fact, which he cannot do. I believe that there maybe be an afterlife of some form, or not...i dont know and neither does anyone else
and on topic I have thought of this b4. I kinda hope not because I don't want to relive some of the greatest pains I have been through. Maybe later in my life it'll be worth it, but now I don't think I'd want to relive my life. kinda sad lol

Not to discredit your argument, but I think he was referring to our soul, if you have heard of that. And please don't start a discussion about, souls exististing or not. I really don't care.
No, I don't think that would happen. I am Christian, but I believe differently about the afterlife. I believe that reincarnation (one can only be reincarnated as human, though, unlike the Hindu belief that one turns into an animal) is possible, and one could choose to do so or go to heaven upon death, which could explain Deja Vu. However, I don't really believe in Hell, I believe that the ghosts that people, including myself, see are the sinners, forced to replay their life in secrecy, praying for the living. orazinac
You say you're Christian, yet you do not have Christian beliefs.
I say you are a hypocrite and a heretic to your religion.
Don't call yourself a Christian and then say you believe in something different, that makes sense in the least.

By one little paragraph? Really, a heretic?? I'm sure he can mold Christianity to fit his beliefs and be just fine, after all, that's how many Christian Denominations came into existance. ;)

I wonder if there is something as spiritual memmory.
Like you have your old memories in you but you can't unlock them in this mortal state.
A few days ago I went to the museum and I saw like a 5000-6000 year old "mummy". The woman laid in a fetal position facing the side they believed "heaven" is at . She wasn't really a mummy but she was well preserved by the hot sand.
Egyptians believed in cycles and their belief kinda makes sense but I can't explain all of it because it would take forever.

What is Christianity? A religion
What is a religion? A common belief amongst a collection of people.
Saying "Not all Christians believe exactly the same thing." is just like saying "not all red is red".
If you don't believe what Christianity preaches, you are NOT a Christian. You just feel proud to falsely bear a name that constitutes having some imaginary Omnipotent being at your side to take away all of your guilt as you or 'he' see fit.
You are either oblivious and ignorant, or stupid.

Considering the word heresy can be loosely defined as a "value judgement", I can call him a heretic with the backing evidence that he claims to be of a religion of which he does not believe.
And Christian Denominations do exist, yes, in over 20,000 forms. Yet there is onle ONE Christianit. Therefore, if he does not believe what Christianity preaches, hes is, in fact, NOT a Christian. Furthermore, because such, I can call him a heretic.

Yes, it can monitor your surroundings, but it is very limited. Your subconscious is trained to "look" for preprogrammed information, such as sunlight, or certain noises, while you are sleeping. Your subconscious will block out 90% of "noise", otherwise you would literally NEVER fall asleep or keep asleep.

It's not like saying that at all.
Protestants and Catholics are both Christians and they believe different things.
No they are NOT Christians, they are Potestants and Catholics.
In another analogy, of what you just said would be "Sand and rocks are clay". No sand and rocks are not clay. They all come from the same thing(mountains, and plate techtonics), but are not one in the same.
Conversely, Christians and Protestants are not Catholic. They all come from the same idea (Religion, or belief of a higher being), but are not one in the same.
My point has been made and my argument is solid, anything further from you is a direct attack.

Well, whatever religion you believe you fall under may not be so. I advise the you revise what your religion preaches before call yourself of that religion. Otherwise you are lying to yourself through ignorance or stupidity.

No. That doesn't happen. Seems to me like you're struggling with the concept of death and are looking in the wrong direction for answers. Death is a natural process. Our bodies are consumed and turned into a different form of energy. It's apart of life.

All there needs to be is unarmed truth and unconditional love.
Your atoms and my atoms at one point were of the same star. Before that, the same gas cloud. Just before the beginning of the Big Bang, all of the energy in your body, my body, the entire Earth, our Sun, our Solar System, our Galaxy, the Virgo Cluster and every bit of information that has EVER existed, was at one infinite undefined point.
There seems to be a much different kind of feeling KNOWING this, rather than believing in some creator. The nature and beauty of it all is much more awesome; to know that you and I are one in the same.
The sad thing is, is that we humans divide ourselves from the Universe as a whole and begin to feel lost and insignificant; thus the idea of a creator was born. The Universe was not created, it just was and is. Everything you do affects the Universe; Every movement, spoken word, and even a thought.
You, your unique collection of information, will forever be part of the universe no matter what. When your unique collection of matter, ages as a whole through a unique, defined quest through time, your atoms will not differ from life or death. None the less you ARE those atoms, and those atome ARE part of the Universe and the Universe is one. Thus, one could say that when you are ready to release your confinedness, you will, once again be one and all.

You are trying to have a religion mold to you. You are not molding to your religion.
An entire belief system will not change for you.
Conversely, the world does not revolve around you...that would hurt.
