Is it possible to become less physically attractive after puberty ends?

When I was around 14-19 years old in 7-12th grade, I noticed that many females would ask me out. I actually had quite a few girlfriends in middle and H.S. I never approached any females, yet many females came to me. Some were actually quite attractive as well. I even had an attractive blonde 30-something year old counselor from our school ask me if I wanted to study with her when I was 18(I felt shy and I said no). I never had sex though, so now i'm a 23-year-old virgin.

Now in college, it seems much more difficult. I approached about 5 females during the last 4 years of college(I should be graduating this December) yet I haven't been successful with one. I explicitly asked one girl out and she wasn't interested. The other ones I tried to talk to and they would not talk back. I've noticed no girls approached me in college either.

I was wondering if someone's appearance can change drastically over a number of years( during and after puberty?) Is college just much more difficult to meet females since most women here are already in relationships and many are close to marrying? Thoughts?

What I noticed in my life:

The hot females in Highschool got uglier as they got older.

The fat/ugly females in Highschool got skinnier/hotter as they got older.

I assume the same for men. The truth is, we all peak in attractiveness at different times. Your peak already may have happened. But in general, men tend to age better.

Also, females don’t care too much about men’s look, they care more about your status, confidence and how much money you have.

Their lack of interest in you is probably for other reasons and not just your looks. I see tons of fat average looking guys with beards score with hot chicks all the time.

Become a better person who is actually interesting and females will follow.

I think you are more a victim of changing standards than changing looks.

In high school or even a small town, there are fewer people. Larger age differences. If you're good looking, you're a one in 10,000 catch.

At college, everyone is young, everyone is generally obsessed with looking good, and there are a lot of good looking people. A person that was one in 10,000 is now one in 20.

I still can't wrap my head around a lot of it, but I'd say it's accurate that women are most interested in status, confidence, money, and the guy generally seeming interesting to them. Stuff238 is on the right track.

I don't necessarily think the hot girls get uglier and the ugly girls get prettier. From what I can tell some of the attractive girls have stayed attractive, they just tend to have more kids than the other women. I don't really get the concept of this or that group aging better than another one - to me I think it's really specific to individuals, how good they look as they get older.

Most people don't really dig deep and try to get to know one another. They're shallow and take first appearances and make that their interpretation of who you are. I think usually people aren't worth getting to know if they disregard you because you're being yourself. You want to take care of yourself, yeah, but you shouldn't have to jump through hoops and look like a model just to get a girl to want to converse with you.
