There was this guy I know who acted all weird after he listened to music so loud that some neighbors called the cops on him.

I am insane but I am yet to be drunk through music, there are some songs that make my ears bleed though.
no.. but i go into "trance" like stages at times..e especially when I listen to this song:

sound, especially at high volumes, does have a physiological reaction on our bodies and it can definitely have an impact on our brains and how they function. so i don't know if it would make someone actually inebriated, buts ound can alter the way you think (which in turn alters the way you percieve things around you)

Might he have actually been drunk?
i think the music was too loud. your ears and the sound cavities associated with them also control balance which ties in to motor function. if he was listening too loudly it might have damaged his ears and made it hard for him to move right. that would be my initial guess, especially if the cops were called.
