Is it possible to not get moderated on this site?

This Im asking mainly to the people to have few to zero of them. Zero is a number even I'm shocked at given how the TOU is never as clear cut as it seems. It seems like no matter what I do I can't not get moderated. I've been here over 6 years and I admit at first I just didnt care and was wreckless. But now with so many moderations under my belt I'm trying to calm it down and be a good poster...all-the-whilte seemingly failing in the process. I dont see how anyone can not get moderated at least once here. Seeing as how sometime at some point in some way someone is going to take offense to something you say. Rant over. Carry on ladies and gents. Whats your opinion on this?

oh yeh this is pathetic i got moderated once for getting into a arguement over why valve is wrong with releasing l4d 2 lol he moded me after i listed that he prob had a period pain when they got killed by a hunter 1st up on the original l4d on expert

I have 2 moderations, both of which are for disruptive posting. This means that I posted a one word response in a thread. yellerbelly

In 3 1/2 years here, I have one moderation that was reversed, so I guess I could say the net = zero.:P

Tbh, what I've done a lot of is using the "Back" button instead of the "Submit" one.:lol:

"Preview" helps too.:P

And I've simply stayed out of a lot of the more controversial threads.

My bottom line, I guess you could say is this: no post is really worth a moderation, a suspension, or a banhammer.:)

I've only had 2 in my 3 1/2 years here. It's actually pretty easy to avoid getting a moderation.

Hmmm yeh it's possible but I imagine very difficult. I got modded a lot back when the Jeff Gerstmann thing happened, because I went mad with rage at GS and trolled, spammed, everything - at that time I didn't care.

I haven't had a mod in the last 13 months though, so yeah I'd say it's definitely possible.

For myself, reading the moderators' responses, I learned a lot about the ToU...which helped me keep my nose clean.:P

I've not been moderated in a long time. I've always respected the site to a degree but I got a good feeling that 90% of my moderations are a result of having someone report a post I made towards them during an argument as offensive. They do this as something extra to do if they feel they have been wronged on the Internet, I find that the main culprit to this is some of your most respective and high post counter members, on an interesting note.

I've gotten five moderations, all for meaningless things, like one of my thread topics got taken down because I talked about how a certain forum was dead, Two for disruptive posting(putting only a smiley face and typing "burn" in all caps.), One for censor bypassing, and another for getting into a TINY forum fight. :? :)

I've been here for about six years, and have only gotten two moderations.

One was for posting in a "favourite book" thread in System Wars (Disruptive Posting, even though I started the post saying "This should be in Off-Topic"), and the other was for mentioning that all of my friends pirated games on a console I didn't even own (Illegal Activities, although it unintentionally did sound like I was the one doing the pirating).

So...yeah, it's definitely possible. Just unlikely.

Also, I tend to find that most people are quite humorous, but just not in ways that they intend to be (if that makes any sense)

I find human behavior to be funny. It is what gives me the most laughs in life (far and away).
Someone trying to be funny is not 'natural' human behavior...that is not funny to me (but I understand it is funny to other people...which ends up being funny to me)

The 'dumb', 'mundane', 'everyday' things we all do in life are hilarious to me...why people do what they do is funny (to me).
For example, being upset over points on GS is funny to me. Why do 'we' care about points and levels on a website? It earns 'us' nothing...yet 'we' care about such things enough to argue about them...even when 'we' refuse to argue about much bigger issues.
Or the reasons/justifications 'we' all use in life or on here.

These things just make me laugh more than any comedian ever could...except for Mitch Hedberg...but, then again, his jokes were life observations

I've been here since early 2004 and was moderated only once and that was on gamefaqs and i don't even think it was a moderation. No points were taken away, no punishment, no reason listed. The post i made wasn't even offensive at all in any imaginable way. But i don't care. I try to be as polite as possible.

I find human behavior to be funny. It is what gives me the most laughs in life (far and away).
Someone trying to be funny is not 'natural' human behavior...that is not funny to me (but I understand it is funny to other people...which ends up being funny to me)

They are just examples that are relevant to the topic at hand...human behavior that I find funny, in a thread created by you, on a subject about Ask the Mods. Almost impossible for that not to be the first thing that comes to mind; wouldn't you agree?
I could just as easily name a million human behaviors (well not literally) that I find to be funny...but they would not be 'on-topic', and thus less relevant to the conversation.

Ask the Mods is the best b/c people are not trying to impress others. It is the most 'real' place to see human behavior IMO...in short, it has the most LULZ for me
