Here is the scenario:

I have an iPod. I had a windows XP, with all my music on it. I have all my music on my iPod. I got a new computer. I want my music on there (Because if my iPod breaks, I will be PISSED OFF).

Any ideas? I prefer free programs...but I don't mind paying too much

Yes it is.  Plug iPod in, go to My Computer, open iPod Removable Drive, search around in there for a bunch of folders with names like F00, F01, F02.  Your music is in those folders.  Copy to your hard drive, install iTunes, and import.  It worked for me.

Google iDump. It's free, really easy to use, and works good. It will work with iPods that aren't even synched to your comp....
