Maybe your friend was attacked by an army of angry peaches when he/she was younger. Other than that, I can't think of a reason why someone would hate fruit.
That is weird... Never heard anyone not like fruit. Maybe some types, but not all. Maybe he's just being whiny and has never actually tasted it, which if often the case when people say they don't like something.

Yes because fruit is awesome. The only reason this would be acceptable is if your friend was savagely beaten by fruit-beasts and left for dead years ago.
