For those who have done so, is travelling with a buddy at all akward? For the most part, of course it wouldn't be. But we're planning on starting in England, travelling down through Britain, to mainland Europe, and down towards the Med.

There are a few romantic destinations that we may end up visiting because the sights are too impressive to pass up. France, Italy, etc.

So again, for those who have travelled with a buddy, is there plenty for us to do, or will we be bored to hell visiting "romance cities"? We want to see the archtitecture, and enjoy the food and history. Probably do some extreme sports, bungie jumping, zorbing, rock climbing, etc.

Should we pass up locations like Venice, Paris, etc?

I don't think it would be wise to EVER miss out on visiting the likes of Paris and Venice. For reasons such as sexuality even less so...

If you got the chance to explore the world, go for it. If its a good friend of yours, you should have a good time.

it's not weird at all...If I had the chance to travel through Europe with a friend, I'd take it in a second. Definitely don't miss out on Paris and Venice either.

Dude, if you can't handle hanging out with your dude friend in cliche "romantic" spots when you're just there for the sights, you've got some serious soul searching to do.

No. Just make sure you're both open to the idea of having sex in the same room, as French girls are into that. Swapping isn't unheard of either.

I'm literally laughing my ass off at a few of the comments in here, thanks guys!

I'm not insecure, it's really more about how much there is to do in these types of cities. When I think about cities that I'd like to visit with a buddy, the romance capitals of the world are not the first ones to pop into mind. But at the same time, I've always wanted to travel to places like Paris, Venice, Rome, Barcelona, etc.

The better question is:

Why would you not want to see all that stuff with your best friend?

...would you rather go it alone...if you are that insecure about going with a friend, maybe there is a reason...

Nope, and if you're both secure about your sexuality, then you can confidently share a single bed to save on hotel costs.

I wouldn't go that far...share room yes, but not bed What happens if they find some "company"...4 people, 1 bed = no room for fun Although 3 of us shared a room in vegas with 2 beds But it was vegas, so no one slept

I don't think you should pass up major cities and landmarks simply because you might be embarrassed about looking like you're together. If it really bothers you, wear t-shirts that say you're perfectly straight. Otherwise, get over it. :| If you're going to big European cities, then you'll have plenty to do. The fact that your travelling partner is another man is irrelevant.

Why would that be disturbing? Plenty of friends do it, male or female.
