I'm pretty sure he's autistic. Okay, here's the story: This kid is autistic, and his favorite subject is history. When he reads something, he remembers it for a LONG LONG TIME. He can remember extrememly specific and detailed facts. Here's the annoying part: He's in my History class. He is a very loud talker and stuters alot. He has to say almost fact that comes into his mind and interrupt the teacher. Whenever we talked about Hitler and the teacher would say something like Hitler did blah blah blah..." He will usually say something like "And he was also a crazy mad man". Yeah, I know. Hitler was bad, but we already know that. After the class lesson/lecture/etc. is over, 1 out of 3 days he will talk (very loudly) about jokes from an episode of "Everybody Loves Raymond", "Seinfeld", or one time his unbearable Bill Cosby impression. Is it wrong to be annoyed by this. I'm not positive he's autistic, but there is definitely something wrong with him. Basically, what I'm asking is: Would you be annoyed by this? /rant

Being human means getting annoyed even if we understand it's due to a disability.

Of course it's okay to be annoyed. Just don't lash out at him. If you get annoyed by something you get annoyed, just don't react to it.

It's not really wrong but you just have to keep your feelings to yourself so that the teacher doesn't get mad at you for acting irritated. :)

It's not their fault.... They are uanable to read other people's emotions and thus don't know when they are bugging the hell out of somebody.

lmfao, apparently I have a kid exactly like this in my class. but thank you for giving his problem a name, I've always just thought he was retarded the way he gets into other peoples conversations and doesn't stop talking. I say its not wrong to be annoyed by that kid, since everyone in my class is annoyed by the autistic kid in my class (even the teacher has told him to stop talking:lol: )

That does absolutely nothing to make it not annoying. I understand the nature of their disorder. I've witnessed a person with Asperger's freak out on multiple occasions, and I've dealt with him in general quite a lot, and I understand why he is the way he is, but that does not grant me some magical ability to fully tolerate his behavior.

Which is easily the most appropriate thing to do unless there is some normal thing that you know will especially offend them Otherwise, yes, absolutely.

I've heard autistic people don't care about what's around them. I kinda envy that. And no, nothing wrong with being annoyed as long as you remain polite.

Hell yeah, I'd be annoyed. Autistic as he may be, he's disrupting my learning. Do you see ME disrupting HIS learning? No? Exactly my point.

I think first thing you should do, is ask him, politely what is his problem/what he is exactly. If you don't know how to ask him, ask him directly, not in public, if he is autistic. Then tell him you understand him better now but have a favor to ask, which is to be a little bit less annoying in class.

So it's wrong to be mean to people with a disability but it's okay to be mean to average people?
