Is it wrong to date an r tard?

Well theres some girl i used to work with over the summer who likes me a lot she texts me all the time and thought I was cute. Only thing is im pretty sure shes retarded she was in all my high school special ed classes and you can just kinda tell by the way she talks and stuff. Another thing id be concerned with is shes older than me she's 19 and im 17 but i think im probably mentally older than she is. Most girls dont think im cute and ive never had a girlfriend before but would it be wrong if i went out with her? She asked me out the other day and i wasn't sure what to say so i told her id answer her by the end of this week what should I say?

I....I don't even know if I can begin to answer that. Part of me wants to laugh for some reason (I just can't tell if this is serious or not) but the other part wants to give you an answer but I just can't come up with one. I dunno, maybe...what are you're reasons for even considering dating her? Just to have a companion? Someone to do the nasty with? Or do you actually like her? If you do like her then her handicap (if she does have one) shouldn't really be an issue. Just for God's sake, don't lead her on into thinking you are interested if you aren't. That'd just be really, really bad karma.

This might be a little to harsh but.... What happens if you went out with her for awhile, let the girls know you have a heart then dump her(there might be some flack thrown your way) but then maybe you can pick up a hotter chick. Have you ever seen WEEDS?

I think it would be wrong to not date her, and just push her away because she may be mentally retarted...as long as you don't take advantage of that fact then go for it....

Sounds like you must be attracted to her or you would have just said no, that or you are getting desperate. Either way I dont think you should go out with her, not while you can refer to her as an R tard anyway. Get to know her better and if you start to hate yourself for refering to this girl in that way then choose.
