Is it wrong to fantasize about somone else when being intimate?

When you are being intimate with your Girlfriend, Boyfriend, Wife, Husband etc. Is it wrong (in your opinion) to be fantasizing about another person, be it a famous person or someone else you know?

I will confess I do it sometimes but I think it's a pretty normal thing. What do you think?;)

Depends. If it's a celebrity it's fine, but if its their sibling or parent, not cool.

Not sure if I would consider it "wrong" necessarily, but it might imply something, especially if it is a regular occurence. I might have different frames of mind with partner...but I do not think of others in that sense for the most part.

Thats terrible. I can understand fantasizing about being with a celebrity or some other girl as a one of thingwhen you are sitting by yourself reading a book or something. That's not bad, but when you are actually being intimate, like kissing or in bed with your partner? That's bad. If it were me, I would just leave my partner beacuse obviously I don't find them very attractive and I hate to tell you this as it sounds pretty callous, but if you arent sexually attracted to someone, leave them. Sure you might like them emotionally or intellectually, but those are grounds for a friendship, not an intimate relationship. :?II_Seraphim_II

Regarding comments about cheating in this matter, I equate that to being emotionally absent...in a way. When someone needs to watch porn, drink or be impaired to have sex with another, it says something. Doing this on a regular basis would be an emotional detachment/avoidance type of thing like that, I would think.

Keep in mind that I'm saying all this with the assumption all of this is done within the context of marriage, though it applies to others as well.

Indeed, not to mention that if you need porn or to fantasize within a relationship, you are not attracted to your partner as much as you should be.

Dont get me wrong, fantasy and exploring can be healthy and fun...in moderation or within consenting limits...but in excess with one partner over an other, it often points to some hidden issues with the particular partner.

Men will be men. We fantasize about women all the time, so there should really be nothing wrong about it

I wouldn't like it if my partner was fantasizing about someone else, and he'd go in to a high rage if I did. Although it's natural, I think that after a certain point it becomes wrong and unnecessary.

And, to answer the question, yes fantasy while gettin' down is perfectly fine. Anyone that seeks to control the brain of their partner to that level is going to live a lonely life.
