Heh,his new movie looks interesting. The Demon Barber one.

He's definatly not the best actor. I think that goes to Mark Wahlberg (MARKIE MARK!)....

He's only super popular cause women love him

Well heres the thing. I personally would say the best actors are: Johnny Depp, Anthony Hopkins, Gary Oldman, and Edward Norton, and Cristopher Walken. I put Johnny as best mainly because he is probably the most diverse actor in that he can do any kind of movie. theres also parts that only he could play, or atleast can make good. i dont think any other actor could do this...

Johnny Depp the best actor lol you people. Seriously, it's like you guys have the most shallow view on every topic possible except for video games. He's a good, solid actor of this day and age. But he isn't the most talented actor.

I agree completely with that list, and yes they were both in 3:10 to Yuma, awesome movie, you should see it. Al Pacin and De Niro were together in Heat, and Russel Crowe was with Pacino in The Insider. Christopher Walken, Alec Baldwin, and Denzel are also my favorite actors.

One of the best. Loved him in Seventh Gate or whatever...Seeing that kind of made me want to become a librarian, but I found out that you have to go to grad school to do that (at least in PA), and there are only a select few schools that you can officially get certified from, and I go to a Penn State school...Beyond that I couldn't afford to go to grad school...

But that movie rocked, and the Pirates movies were amazing...

I'd say he's tied with Nicolas Cage for best actor.

I think he's one of my favourites anyway....Sean Bean is my favourite. And actually Tom Cruise is one of the most skilled actors today IMO.

People I think are good actors: Gary Oldman, Anthony Hopkins, Ron Perlman...and plenty of older british actors, and a bunch of relatively unknowns (the guy who plays Gnaghi in Dellamorte Dellamore is by far the best physical actor I've ever seen). Johnny Depp is pretty good, but he plays all his characters with the same touch of paranoia. He's probably the best actor making 10 million a film. Edward Norton (who seems to have been brought up here) is IMO equal to Johnny Depp. He was too heavy in The Illusionist, and his performance wavered in American History X. He's certainly good, but he has trouble with brevity and consistency.

He's one of the best, no denying about that. Just look at his input in Pirates of the Caribbean, I am sure that it would have flopped if they hadn't contracted Johnny Depp.

Johnny Depp is one of the better movie actors today, however he doesn't hold a candle to the likes of Michael C. Hall, Ian McShane and numerous other [cable] TV actors.

Both Bill Murray and Johnny Depp did fantastic jobs playing Hunter S. Thompson, which is probably the role Depp gets the most respect for.
