Is this lady gaga person trying to bring back the 80's?

I wasn't around during that timeframe but I've heard of a lot of crazy stuff. Plus with David Bowie and acid wash jeans I can only imagine...

I saw a couple of her music videos and she just seems to be this really random female whom though Wikipedia says is 24 looks more like she's... not 24, to put it one way.

I understand that in the age of the crazy Internet people have started to become a lot more depraved but darn those videos of her are random. Could be social commentary though...

This is rather strange... I mean I'm not in high school anymore so I don't really know what's going on with the young teens but when did this trend start to occur?
