Only in schools. "The Kansas Board of Education has approved a ban on all Pokémon trading cards, video games, and anything related that has the name Pokémon on it because of the belief that it promotes kids to believing in evolution. Teachers now must search their students daily to make sure they aren't carrying anything with the name on it. Anything found will be permanently confiscated, that means you don't get your game back Jack. On top of all of this, if you dare do something as evil as bring a Pokémon video game to school they have the right to suspend you or even expel you if you repeat this crime. "

:|  You've got to be kidding me...  I honestly don't believe that some kid's going to level up his Pikachu and then suddenly have an interest in going to the library to learn about evolution.  I can understand protecting the minds of our youth... but come on!

I don't believe that either.  It'll be one of those, "don't you think you're taking it a little bit too far?"

Looks like you're right, actually. Its all just a hoax. Several websites picked up the story thinking it was true, but turns out it isn't.

Thats pathetic. A bunch of conservatist losers who are afraid of people thinking with their own mind. Maybe people agree with evolution. And Pokemon is a children's programme. Kids are too young to understand what religion and evolution is correctly. All they believe is what mommy and daddy have forced down their throats. Land of the free indeed, not allowing people to to have anything to do with pokemon.

maybe i dont find this news shocking or unbelievable (was it true, i dont no) cuz my school banned pokemon back in texas when i was in 2nd grade... no cards allowed cuz they were getting stolen and parents were complaining.... for evolution reasons, that'd be dumb. It was more of a personal propety dilemna.
