Just saw it for the first time yesterday. Really entertaining movie. Loved the characters and a lot of thedialogue. I thought the chronology was stupid though. There was no need for it to be sequenced like that. The end was good how ittiedback together but the scene in Bruce Willis's house where he sees John Travolta was extremely out of place.

I'd say slightly overrated but still great movie.

I guess it depends how highly it's rated. It's definitely a great movie though.

I think its a great movie but maybe a tad overrated. I don't even consider it Tarantino's best film. I enjoyed Reservoir Dogs and Jackie Brown alot more than Pulp Fiction.

No ****. IMDB ranks it as one of the top ten (?) best films of all time. It isn't.

In that regard I would consider it overrated by far. It doesn't really deserve to be on the top 10 spot at all.

its a fun and cool movie with its sights set fairly low (more a comment on storytelling than any tangible subject), but its good for what it is.

I hate top X lists anyways, they never seem to generate a decent consensus. I consider films to be overrated based on how much praise I hear other people give them through word of mouth, and while this film gets a ton of praise I think it deserves. Personally, I think Resevoir Dogs is probably one of Tarantino's most overrated films, although his films seem to get more and more undeserved hype with each one, but I still think people go nuts for that movie when it's really just okay. Jackie Brown, though, I would agree is underrated, but I still like Pulp Fiction better.

Pulp Fiction is maybe a little overrated in my mind, but it is one of the most entertaining movies from start to finish ever created. The scene with Willis and Travolta using the toilet isn't random at all. There are numerous references to that scene, you probably just missed them.

As for his other films, I think Inglorious Basterds is his most overrated. I didn't think Tarantino could make such a boring and dry movie...

Also he stole the idea of Reservoir Dogs from an asian movie :o

It's a really good movie that a lot of people enjoyed. People tend to overrate a lot of things I consider crap, but I don't really care. I usually base my thoughts of things I've seen from my own subjective opinion.

Not overrated. Pulp Fiction is one of the greatest films ever made. Everything about it is masterful. The script by Tarantino is one of the most brilliant ever written.

I don't think most people understand how deep it really is, especially the dialogue, which most people simply dismiss as fun but nonsense. In reality, almost every single line of dialogue in the movie means something important.

I completely disagree with the notion that Pulp Fiction is overrated in anyway. I could easily see it being one of the top 10 movies of all time.
