it could very well be a good run for you but i'm sorry to say that you probably aren't going to be winning any races with that time. keep in mind though i am comparing you to my school where people run low 5s in the mile. yours could be totally different.ItalStallion777
Well, as far as track competitions are concerned, you're right, that time isn't going to get him very far, but compared to the general population and for a 225 pound dude it's not bad at all.
You're not going to break any records but, yes, that is a very good time. It would probably amount to a 7:00 mile, which is probably top 25% in any given high school gym class.xXBuffJeffXx
Seriously lol? Your high school doesn't seem to be in very good shape then... I ran under a 6 minute mile in Middle School.

I mean, I can probably run a 5:30-5:45 mile right now but most kids in my high school were too lazy and didn't care or simply weren't capable of running below an 8 minute mile.
That doesn't seem to bad, most physical fitness tests for Military/Police forces across the world seem to require a min of 2.4k in 10 min, and thats around 3 min per half mile.
Oh, and weight doesn't mean much without hight as well, a 225lb man who is 5'5 is overweight, but if he's 6'3 thats pretty normal.
