To some people (And lemons), life is to hard to take, and they just cant resist, and they want to end it now.

To me, suicide is not the answer. "Suck it up and take it like a man" is....

Suicide is the wusses way out, its like forfiting. But some people take it, and I dunno why. What makes you want to comite suicide? If your life is really that bad, and it feels like it cant get any worse, then it can only get better right?

I hate it when people say they are going to commit suicide if you dont talk to them(which has happened), whenever a person says that, then my usual answer is just "go ahead".

So dont you all hate it when people say they are going to commit suicide?

Although I have no problem with suicidle lemons.....

Suicide is "the cowards way out." No matter how bad you may think you feel, there is always a way at making your life better.

However, suicide in terms of such acts as killing yourself to save another is more than acceptable. At least in certain contexts, it is seen as self-sacrifice but it is technically suicide, whether or not you actually do the killing, you are willing to end your life purposefully before it "is time." Of course, such an act is seen as quite honourable.

A little bit of hypocrisy if you ask me. But I do think that self-sacrifice is much more honourable than just killing yourself, at least you are committing yourself to helping another instead of just helping yourself.

Alot of people commit suicide because of depression. It doesn't mean that they are wusses, it just means that they have a mental disorder or a mental collapse. Committing suicide is not a sign of weakness, it is just simply a mental breakdown. Even the strongest people will mysteriously commit suicide. I do not think taking your own life is an answer, but every case is different and only when you dig deep into their problems will you finally be able to make an educated decision. Your mind does things that even scientists can't understand, and to call someone weak for committing suicide without knowing all the facts is quite naive if you ask me.

So, in conclusion, all of the soldiers who have killed themselves as a result of psychological issues resulting from serving in the Iraq war are cowards.

Yes. They could easily have visited psychiatrists or therapists and received treatment.

Yes, it is sooooooo easy just to erase depression and PTSD . You think it is as simple as simply going to a therapist and taking some pills. You obviously have NEVER been threw deep depression. Besides, a therapist or psychiatrist only work if you are mentally willing to participate. You go into a completely different state when you have depression or PTSD where living life just isn't worth it anymore. To say that EVERYONE who commits suicide are cowards is disrespectful and childish. Everyone is going to die sometime, why not then? I believe in God, so I know that life here on Earth is just a blade of grass in the Valley of Life. Some people just do not feel as though life in the human form is worth it.

I hope that suicide is never the best answer for anyone, but some people with mental illness cannot see past it. To judge their actions using a normal frame of reference is inappropriate. That would be like telling someone whose leg has been crushed to bits to get over it and walk it off.

To say that people who talk about suicide never do it is also wrong. Most people who kill themselves, especially teens, admit their thoughts to someone before doing it.

Sorry man. If you don't know what the answer is then don't assume something is NOT the answer. You can only speculate what isn't the "best" "choice".

If people actually reach the point where they actually take their own lives, then they couldn't be saved. Its too late.

Anyway. Suicide will continue either way, but its good to try and convince people NOT to do it. Do not do itusing the overly used excuse to put people in fear, so they would not do it and say "Its the cowards way out" of life. Thats not a good idea, but its a good stall.

And what if they do see past it and still do it anyway? The only reason people use the "they were mentally ill" excuse is mostly used because those people were actually "strong" enough to push themselves to do it.

Other could just be crazy, but not everyone. Some actually know what they are doing and getting themselves into.

I have been thinking of suicide (not commiting it) for awhile now.

Some people just don't understand. I did not fully comprehend why people committed suicide up until recently.

I myself have nothing to live for, and if I died in my sleep tonight, nobody would care. If that sounds emo, well I guess I'm emo :|

The truth is I have no friends, I pretty much hate my family (except my mom) and I have nothing to look forward to except another day of school and/or work. I love music, but it is not tangible, its nothing more than something to deter my true thoughts.

I have tried so hard to be more social, but I fail. I'm not outgoing, I may not look too bad, but my personality is lacking. Mostly everyone my age loves to drink and screw around, I don't. And I don't have a car, I can't go anywhere to meet others.

Sucide is not the answer. Who ever said that it was 'the answer'? Sometimes it is all people can do. I have always been against suicide, even when I am depressed, but I have hit rock bottom and all I could do was think how death was a release. We as you can see I am here. I do not advocate for suicide, but I know why people do it.

btw, look up Bud Dwyer's video. he was the governor of Pennsylvania or something. anyways, check out his video of his public suicide. It is wild.

Not all suicidal people think life is horrible, some realize that death is probably better than life overall. In death you can't feel anxiety and get a stomach ache... Some people who might be in debt, be a little ugly, might realize, "Hey, in death, I wouldn't be in debt or be ugly, WOOT!". It's very simple, it's not a big deal really, some people just don't cherish life, since some people don't find it very important, not really difficult to understand.

Step 1. Die and never have a problem, maybe some people just want true happiness, and believe death is that, some people like sleep, a lot, death is like an eternal rest to some people. Some people would rather die than live a happy life, death isn't reserved for the sad people, some people think death is the happiest form of, well, anything one could achieve. They could be right also, who knows? Have you died? No, so maybe, just maybe, it's a lot nicer, and if it's just nothingness, well, they're probably alright with that, since they can't think.

If that is what you say is true, then i really feel sorry for you. Atleast glad that people like you are not committing any suicide ;) But hell, i feel sorry for you.. Really :S And no, suicide is not the answer. I heard about the christian told me that commiting sucide will not be forgiven and you'll be in hell for that. It is like commiting a sin or something, i don't believe in christ but it looks logic to me. God gave you the birth, you are the person, it was a gift from god you should appreciate not declining it. That's my rant and sorry for my english, 2nd language.

Sometimes people use "I'm gonna kill myself" or other speechs about suicide just for attention. Then again some people seriously mean it. I don't think suicide is the answer but I think sometimes alcohol can be haha. I've been really upset/sad before, had a few drinks, laid down, went to bed, and felt so much better when I woke up. Also it depends on who you have to support you. Having family and friends there for you helps. If life is really hard at the moment, do something to get away for a while (not suicide).

Suicide is the least honourable way to die.

If you've ever struggled through with someone with PTSD or severe depression, you wouldn't make it sound so cut-and-dried, because it's not. Sometime the best help doesn't do much. And honor has nothing to do with it.

Who cares if it is? Who cares if you're a, "Coward", I'd rather be a happy coward than a sad honorable person. And it's pretty cowardice unless you light yourself on fire or dehydrate yourself. A bullet to the brain is easy, very easy. But even then, it really doesn't matter, I don't see why people care about being honorable. You're going to be dead, people could hate you, it won't affect you, because you'll be dead.

Well, certain drugs release seratonin into your system at very rapid rates, quickly depleting your brains supply, and once its over, and its done circulating, you fall into a deep depression. A lot of people kill themselves because their brain is so screwed up that they arent thinking. I understand that a lot of people are very depressed, and can sometimes have certain conditions that would cause them to do something like that, but to the rest, suck it up. People who dont have any type of condition need to realize that its up to them to forge their own reality. And if they expect anyone else to bail them out, then they are just spiraling faster. I guess we could think about it as darwin elemination. Stupid people who are too dumb to realize that they need to well, you get the point, I really cant explain it very well (quite tired right now).
