This cube is ofc not moving fast enough to show the illusion, you have to use your mind. But the general theory is that the motion spins the cube (sun) so rapidly that its corners appear to touch nearly all points of the perceived sphere, thus giving the illusion that the sun is a sphere.

the sun is an almost perfect sphere (unlike the earth and other gas giant planets, which bulge at the equator quite a bit, especially saturn), there is a 6 mile difference in the polar circumference compared to the equatorial one.

The mass of the sun is so large that the gravity imposed on it would simply make it into a sphere. Also may I suggest you read this if you believe wikipedia (Which I suppose true considering the link you gave us).
