is the word "Negro" racism ?

I personally dont think it is since its the official word for black people, but i do think the other N word IS racism

and if you do think it is racism, what should we be calling it than ?

i hate people using the word coloured for describing black people because as you know white is also a colour so that would make white people coloured aswell

Negro is the spanish word for black. Back in Puerto Rico I had 3 different friends whom nicknames were "negro". I don't think any word is racist, not even the big N word. It all matters on the context you use it.

Not that the word "negro" is racist, it's just attached to what the racists and such of previous generations called them. So it's still somewhat offensive.Shiggums
