I took a one year university course and know enough of the language to be able to get around should I ever find myself in the incredibly unlikely situation of ever actually being in Japan (but am nowhere near conversational level). Will that do? :P

I took 2 years of Japanese, and I lived in Japan for 2 years. I'm more weeaboo than anybody here!!!!!! :lol:

hai! jk, i dont, i studied a few lessons though, didnt find it hard to learn - but long ago and well i studied many languages and never had to use japanease kinda depends what u wanna know? if u just want translations then use a google translator, if u wanna know if its hard i can tell u its fairly easy gramastructure compared to most european but the written....no, its not easy, its one thing to learn hiragana and katakana and some kanji, but they mix it and i kinda gave up learning japanease the more i learned about it... real pity they took the kanji from chinease when its not the same language - made it really complicated for even the japanease people to learn the written hopefully some japanease person lurk around gs and can help u with whatever u need help with
