I'd never actively commit suicide (pills, hanging, etc), but if I was far away from everyone and I didn't have any obligations (and there was no one to stop me), there's a chance I'd eventually decide to stop eating/drinking, and go like that. It wouldn't be out of depression or sadness, but only if I was able to reach an "ideal" state.

Also, if i kidnapped by a terrorsist group, and i have info they want, id rather kill myslef then risk betraying my country, becuase i would eventully crack and give them the info.

A lot of things have come very close to driving me to suicide. I don't know what would ultimately make me do it... Obviously something bigger than I've experienced.
Mhmm, it would have to be really really really bad, like I killed someone in a car crash or something else that is beyond damaging to one's mental mindset. I know this one girl in my class that wants and has contemplated suicide because she can't get a boyfriend

Being blind and deaf would make me contemplate it. Paralysis would also bring on some contemplation. Wouldn't know if I'd go through with it unless I was in that position, though.

If these aliens were truly genocidal, they'd just blow the planet to smithereens from orbit. If you can cross interstellar space, you probably have some significant firepower at your disposal too.

Then they'd probably have a means to eradicate life on the planet without harming the minerals. And assuming a foot invasion really was necessary, they'd be employing the same technological advantage on the ground. Again - if you can cross interstellar space and you're bent on planetary conquest, it stands to reason that you've commited some of your techological expertise to methods of pacifying a planet. And we wouldn't stand a chance against such a foe.
I don't know, that's a question I can't answer until a particular situation comes up. I've gone through many things that before I went through them, I would have said yes, I would kill myself if they happened. One did, and I'm still here. I think many people sell themselves short in what they think they can bear if needs be. Survival instinct gets down to the bare bones when necessary.
