Why would The President being Muslim or Atheist be bad? This is a country of many faiths, and people of no faith. Their is no reason to believe only a Christian can represent us. Unless of course a Muslim President followed the precedent set by Christians and wrote his faith into the law. I can see why they would have an issue with that, but he would only be able to do that because they did it first and made it ok.Philosopho

I mostly agree. I would totally vote for a muslim or atheist if they were able leaders and wanted to ensure freedom and small government. I think it would be harder to come by someone who was a muslim and had those values, but if one arose I would vote for them in a heartbeat. As a Christian, I would vote for Ayn Rand if she was running. I completely disagree with her philosophically, but politically she would not try to run my life like the Democrats and Republicans we have today.

So freedom of religion means everyone must be Christian?
