Is this normal for my friends?

I watched the movie "Matrix" and I really liked it,but when I asked some of my friends about it they said that they didn't understand its story well as it's "very complicated",also some of them told me that it's "full of crap" because of its story,is this normal for them to not understand it?

Yes, it's quite normal. Most of my friends didn't understand Oceans 12 as well...they are just simple people with tiny brain.

The Matrix is not that complicated. I think our attention span is getting shorter.

I felt like the matrix was fairly easy to understand. They lay out the exposition very slowly. Your friends must have not been paying attention too well.

They don't sound like they like thinking when watching a movie..by the way if you like the Matrix i highly recommend Equilibrium..
