Is this video a joke?

It is a "trailer" for skins, a usa remake. I can't decide if its real or not. It just looks awful... why remake such a great series (series 1 and 2 at least) into what can only be described as an embarrasment, if that is a real trailer and not a joke.

did they air the british one in the us? if not they should just do that.

It's obviously a joke and you fell for it, your parents must be very proud
