Yes because the people need to see how wrong violence is. But the people advocating the peace don't use the violence the anti-peace people do. And when the public sees how disgusting and cruel the anti-peace people are the public then is more favoring of peace.
Gandhi liberated India and Pakistan without landing a single blow. War to bring peace is an oxymoron... just like jumbo shrimp, military intelligence and moral marketplace.
If there will not be any physical pain then there will be mental pain, so violence may be necessary. It is not only related to criminals but also us being possessive about our property, the dominant one, win, type violence or fight.
honestly, being realisitc, some people just won't listen, and some people don't know how to pierce a nation with peace like ghandi did. we live in a very backwards world, violence should be the last, final, back against the wall option. not the "well we need to get in their business to forcefully make them a peaceful nation/territory/culture".
