Yes it is definitely worth it. The characters are fleshed out and developed incredibly well. The writing is excellent. The story is deep. It's one of the best novels out there.

I just finished reading it and I'd say it was worth the money I spent on it. The thing you should know about it though is that it's an intelligent comic that has a heavy focus on plot and dialogue, not on action. So if you're looking for a good adrenline rush, go read something else. If you're looking for more of a slow paced superhero noir story, then Watchmen is for you.

Yes, it's completely worth it. I had never read a graphic novel in my life and loved it. Plus, if you read the book and then go watch the new trailers for the movie...your mind will be blown. I can't wait, it literally looks like the comic in motion.

Yeah, I'd recommend it. Alan Moore is a great writer after all, so you may even enjoy his other stuff. Judging by your avatar, you may want to look into the Killing Joke.

Eh...My point is, if you like one story, you may like the other stuff the same guy has written.

Just go softcover. It's only like $24 that way. Once you read it and figure out how amazing it is, then you can get the hardcover:P

I'm excited for it. I just know it won't even come close to the novel. The fact that the film has been cut to 2 1/2 hours worries me. I just don't see how they can put the entire graphic novel into a 2 1/2 hour film. The 4 hour DVD should improve on that.

It's gonna suck. Doc. Manhatten's voice is soo annoying, Ozymandias looks like a little brat, and silk spectre looks like a 2 dollar hooker. The really nailed the Comedian though, he looks awesome!

That's even if it's still going to be released. There's still a chance it might not even comes out, if Fox has anything to say about it.

I guess we'll find out when the trial starts in a few weeks.

I've read a few articles on that and the chances of Fox winning are slim to nothing.

I've heard that it's almost impossible for them to win because of something, can't remember though

I've heard that, too. Imagine the backlash if they DID win the suit.

People would hate Fox even more, and I didn't even think that was possible.

Give it time. Between the way they treat their filmmakers, and the movies they've been putting out as of late, it's bound to get worse.

It's one of my favorite works of modern literature. Notice how I called it literature. It may be in comic book form, but it sure ain't a comic book. The characters are better developed then in most books, and it has some fantastic plot twists.
