im building a website and ive been looking at a few domain and hosting companys. and im wondering if hosting is payed for on a monthly or yearly basis? i live a pretty active life style and having to make sure the hosting companys payed every month is going to be quite difficult for me with my schedule. i wanna be able to pay for the domain and the hosting service for a year or possibly more and then forget about it until the year is up and ill pay it again.

I use Bluehost to host my photography website. I have no complaints about them so far.

I'm sure you can with some companies, but I never like anyone to be able to do that, personally. Instead of giving someone automatic access to my bank account (and thus my financial livelyhood), I prefer to have it billed automatically to a credit card. That way, if something fraudulent or a mistake happens, I can dispute it and not ever have to pay it, rather than having to fight to get my own money back. That's kind of off-topic, but something that I feel might be important (or maybe I'm just paranoid :P)
