As in, is your partner of a racial,religious, cultural or linguistic background that is not the same as yours? If so, what are these differences? What challenges or benefits have you two faced in your partnership due to these differences? Feel free to be as detailed as possible!

No partner currently. I admit I tend to prefer girls that are of my ethnicity (white), but I wouldn't be opposed to dating a girl of a different ethnicity by any means.

Me: white male, english only, top 10% SES

Her: Chicana/Native American, English and Spanish, bottom 25% SES.

The biggest challenge we had was that about half of her family are huge bigots and it took me a really really long time to win them over.  My family is becoming mixed ethnicity, about 40% of the people who have married into my family and that have been born into my family in the last 2 generations were latino.

I am one of 3 white people that have married into her family, none have had children and I am the only white person that put up with the bigotry long enough to still attend family functions.

currently not with anyone.

but i got no qualms what their race or even their original sex was. 

of my past 6 relationships. only two been my same ethnicitiy (one white, and one Arab). the other 4 were, Afghan, Indonesian, Chinese, and Columbian. 

now i ca'nt say it's not a problem for anyone else in my family though.

Sorta. I'm biracial. Her and I share a common ethnic "group." We get along well.

Well I had a partner from a different country...one that doesn't exist anymore and lives in a different country then me now to. Native language wasen't english technically but he has spoken it since pretty young when his family came over here or uh well North America anyways so he uses it as his only language. Doesn't like speaking the other one. And I lost my train of thought. Anyway topic creator you need to answer your own question. :|funkadelichika

I'm Australian and she's half Australian and half Indian.

I'm German and Scottish (white) and my ex is Polynesian and German (1/2 polynesion 1/2 white).
