Israel has there promised land, why do they keep trying to take more land then?

The long, long back and forth battle between Israel and Palestine, and others, is insane, a lot of it having to do with what belongs to who and who shant get what, and how much of what can who have. They have their land, and now they seem to be instigating because they continue to seem more "greedy" and go on trying to get more and more land, or certain item, or etc. I mean can;t they just be happy? Then there will be less missiles and other things flying around and random people getting killed.
