It Finally Happened....

They say your first is the hardest, had my heart broken for the first time. The situation is that my girlfriend for the past year left me for a 50 year old, (shes 25) I wont get into all the details because im sure you can figure out why she left yourself... Young girl.... Old man... Any thoughts?

If it was a legit relationship then it will take some time to move on but it depends on you. Sometimes it can last weeks if not months, other times you can move on really fast. Try focusing on hobbies and doing things with friends to get your mind off her.

Gosh, man. Really sorry. I KNOW how this feels. It happened to me just 3 months ago around christmas time. Thought she was the greatest thing that ever happened to me. It seemed legit, she really had me going. She broke up with me 3 days after spending an awesome christmas with her, told me she was leaving me for some kid with a more promising future than me, lets just say. Apparently, she had been already dating him for 3 weeks...

Well, I got over it by hanging out with my friends and enjoying my hobbies. I wouldn't recommend getting in to a new relationship too soon after, trust me, it doesn't help.

I love how i dont have to say anything except his age and we all know why she left, Ya it is for the money man. The guy is putting her through school, Ill put it this way his winter beater car is a 2009 Jag and his normal car is a bently. nuff said, thanks for the support guys I will have a hard time getting over her being my first love and all (and she actually told me this is for money and she still wants me in her life as a friend till she finishes school) lol like that will happen!

it is hard finding out that your first girl is just in it for the money
believe me i would have trouble ever trusting a girl again but you cant let that get you down im sure youll find a girl that will like you for who you are

It can do tremendous help. The need to find a substitute is wrong, but rejecting possible good relationships because you let the past control you is stupid. It's the reason why many good hearted man suffer from weak mind pretty gilrs who just got dumbed by a jackass and rejects the good guy by saying " oh, I really don't want a relationship right now..."

You should look at it in a different way. The fact that she is dumb enough to leave you for some loser for money proves that she isn't good enough for you. Find someone else who is up to your level.

It may hurt now, but you are much better off. Any woman who is 25 and leaves anyone for a 50 year old (i'm guessing he has money....or she has daddy issues) is not someone you should waste any more of your time on. All the best for you in the future
