I use iTunes only for my iPod Classic, but I want to use media go or Media Gallery by Sony. It's just that Apple has everything on iTunes. I just want to use something diffrent.

I have to use it....but I hate it. And if ever I purchase another MP3 player...it won't be Apple.LJS9502_basicTry Media Monkey it has a bit of a learning curve, but it syncs my apple devices flawlessly. though you can't sync apps obviously.

Make sure you get MM4, it's heaps better than 3. It's not officially released yet, but its very close, you can get the latest beta here.
i use it for my ipod only but don't care for it. it's annoying that ( what seems like ) every 2 weeks i need to update it also.. i've never purchased a song though it though.
I don't like it, tried it once or twice. I hate how it tries to update and do all this stuff "automatically" (without your permission is how I see it, really).
Whats wrong with just folders full of music?
It's easier to just plug it in, come back in a few minutes and unplug it. Plus playlist management and tag editing are better with an all in one player.I don't like it, tried it once or twice. Yes, but be warned, Media Monkey is highly configurable and feature rich, which may overwhelm you to the point of frustration.Would like to but living in another country prevent me so. If copyright grounds is abolish with online providers then I can be happy.
I don't understand the hate.
You LEGALLY download stuff with it. It has a very good MP3 ID tag editor. It has a nice UI and interface.
People just being haters I guess.
Some of us have legitimate complaints about the system.I don't understand the hate.

Yea its handy for podcasts and if I really want to buy an album there and then. However It does feel laggy as hell when I want to use the iTunes store :/Wolls
That happened to all my Windows computers. I have a gut feeling, Apple makes all their software run smooth on Mac but laggy as on Windows. I have iTunes on both Mac and Windows laptop and it takes around 30 secs to open iTunes on my laptop and it's so slow. On my Mac, it's almost instant.

No one could be guiltier of that than Microsoft. Have a look at Office for Mac and tell me it isn't a joke.[QUOTE="JasonDarksavior"][QUOTE="Wolls"]Yea its handy for podcasts and if I really want to buy an album there and then. I use Pages. :PIt's slow, they force you into installing awful Quicktime and some other junk, it's not very configurable or customizable and It can only sync to apple products, forcing me to use two media players.People just being haters I guess.

this
oh, and months after I installed it, I still had two background applications related to it running. WTF is that about?

Mine takes like 2 seconds to open. It's quicker than Firefox, for example. And what kind of customisation do you want? Winamp let's you mess around with stuff but it looks a mess. And you don't need all the bells and whistles in the end.[QUOTE="Netherscourge"]

I use it to update my ipod, but that is as far as I go with apple products. We are already forced to use MACs in uni so that is enough torture as it is :( Also ituns is quite good for podcasts.

It depends on the speed of your pc. It runs alot quicker on my gaming rig as apposed to my laptop, which takes forever to open, and is laggy when it does, especially when I try to open the itunes store.
I have to use it, as I have an iPhone. I hate it though, way too heavy on the memory.chrisrooROur school issued laptops have it and it KILLS it. It's a netbook which is slow enough and they decide to put iTunes on it...

And Firefox is faster than iTunes.[QUOTE="Netherscourge"]

Mine automatically imports every song from a CD.. and every song is synced to my iPod by default. With some albums it decides to select a song and put it as part of a compilation. Then it doesn't sync unless you manually change that. And if you read the help forums you can find all kinds of issues with iTunes. I've had a few. Also seems to be missing quite a bit of album art. Which is not cool. My Zen was much easier to sync.[QUOTE="SolidSnake35"] Mine takes like 2 seconds to open. It's quicker than Firefox, for example. And what kind of customisation do you want?
