I just started too. If you practice and don't slack off, then yes.

Jordan Rudess. Mainly the keyboard player for Dream Theater, but he's got a few solo piano albums. Amazing musician.

There's nothing quite like Chopin but I recommend Mozart if you're into Beethoven. There are some Brahms pieces with quite an impact too.

I can play a smidgen amount of songs on the piano. I kinda lose interest about half way through the song, but learn how to play it then, do it on a date. Works every time.;)

I found a new love as well and I feel a little old, but I want to try it anyway, maybe I'm not too old, I only get one life.

I'm sure you could learn it. I've been playing for 14 years and I started guitar when I was around 18...and if I would practice more guitar I could be ok at it...you just have to practice a lot.

For the record: I suck at guitar.

18 is never too young to start learning the piano. I'm 23 and I started playing last year. I wish I was 18 and made up those five years with practice. You should probably get a piano teacher as certain bad habits can forbear you from reaching your full potential.

I'm not too fond of Mozart's sonatas, whereas I don't think I dislike any one of Beethoven's. His piano concertos on the other hand (especially 20-27) are godly.

I don't think 18 is too old. Im going to be 18 in a month and I've signed up for piano lessons at my community college. So I'll be learning too.
