IYO, what is the worst decade of music?

▲ Let's say, every decade since the 60's, what was the worst decade for music in your opinion?

I'd have to say it's a tie between the 80's and 00's. ▲

00's was a very hotchpotch decade of music with no clear dominating theme.

Some was good, others painful.

none i love 80's,90's and 00's and if i listened to 70's like i do other decades i'd like it too

In terms of popular music, the 00's have been the worst, but in terms of music in general(ie, not top 40 stuff) the 00's have been just as good as any other era...

Overall, the 70's had the worst music IMO...

i'll go with the 1420's

I'd go with the 80's. By that time the classic rock and progressive rock that I love had beasically disappeared and was replaced with Glam Metal and Neo-Prog which I can't stand. The 90's carries some nostalgia for me, and I think it was late in that decade that post rock started picking up steam. In the 00's all of my favourite post rock albums were created as well as most of the indie music that I enjoy, so I can't hate on that decade despite some of the trash that came about.

60-70's Motown was a golden age of quality music.

Disco could be pretty bad at times, but I don't get how anybody can knock classic Motown. The talent those acts had was staggering.

Same. I actually love the 80s and hate the 00s.

In my opinion, there is no 'worst decade of music'. Pop music today is mostly terrible, but there has always been good and bad music in every decade.

mainstream I'd argue 2000+ was awful. With that said, I feel the 21st century has a lot more to offer to music listeners in general in terms of everything, so its my favorite so far

so I'd argue 80s are my least favorite.

60's were awful. '70s had a few good releases, mostly with prog rock and heavy metal, and the '80s had great underground artists. Same with the '90s and '00s, but I guess popular music hit a new low in the '00s. Who listens to that trash anyway?

While the 00's did have some pretty good music it didn't have as much as previous decades and it was overwhelmed by the trash.

The only reason the 00's are considered bad is because people got such an hard on for crappy pop. However, many of my favorite bands are from this decade.
