Hm, Daniel Craig's James Bond. He's definitely much more of a bad-ass than Jack Bauer.

wow, I was missing on some seriously quality television wasn't I? (never actually watched 24. don't know why, as I'm sure I would have loved it. perhaps I'll netflix the 1st seasonand go through it all. it'd be worth it just to watch that scene with some context)

If I remember correctly, season 1, 3, 6, and 7 are the best. Great, great show.
Jack Bauer plays a a "die-hard" -esque American special agent who stops at nothing to rid the world of terrorism; something that is entirely impossible. He's a Canadian playing the part of a US agent.
James Bond is a British secret agent sent out to stop the "evil geniuses" of the world before they destroy/control X portion of the world. He's British (most of the time.) My vote goes to James Bond because he's more realistic as of recent movies. James Bond movies are more entertaining and less fear-mongering as well.
