Jack Black: Funny, Not, or both?

It's kinda weird: when I see the Jack Black in Tenacious D he's amazingly halarious. The band rocks, their albums were amazing, the movie disappointed me. Anyway, when I see Nacho Libre Jack he isn't funny at all he's just dumb and drug addicted.

What do you think?

He can be funny at times, like his bands music is funny and some of his movies were funny.

He tries too hard to be funny and usually just ends up being annoying. Also, he thinks he's hilarious, which makes him even less funny.

lol drug addicted?!? But yea I know what you mean at times he can be really funny and other times he's really family friendly. You should see his early works, like him in the X-Files and in the movie Bongwater, there not overly funny but really neat.

I saw him on the X-Files the other day I almost fell off my couch. **Spoilers** It was cool when he got zapped.

EDIT: Ha, I like that funny or family friendly, it's one or the other.

i loved his character in bongwater. especially the part where he was leading everyone through the forest while they were trippin boomers.

I thought Nacho Libre was kinda funny. Not hilarious, but he made me laugh.

I think he's funny. Not so much in Shallow Hal, but definitely in High Fidelity and School of Rock.
