Jack Thompson off the deep end?

If you look at Jack Thompson and his career you'll see how he's been hitting the gaming industry hard. Now do you think he gone off the deep end, Do you think he's just gone a little to far, or that he's completely within reason. Now I'm not gonna say my opinion so the topic stays neutral. But, What do YOU think?

Incorrect. If he starts digging, he'll be digging towards the other end of the earth, and will consequently dig himself out.

He had kind of a point. It is true that violent video games can desensitize you to violence, but there is no way that you can train to kill people with a video game. Then he went way off his rocker when he accused video games of the Virginia Tech shootings... before they Identified the killer. Then after they proved the shooter didn't play video games at all, he still said video games were used to train for the shootings. He's crazy.Bulldog19892

Agreed.

Whilst video games have been proven to desensitise the gamer's mind to acts of violence, his claims that games ARE the sole cause of all deaths, killings and massacres makes him a bit loony. Especially when as Bulldog said, before they identified the killer of Virginia Tech, he was claiming that he trained with counter-strike, and GTA to carry out these killings, when in actual fact...the killer was not an avid gamer, but rather, already crazy.

He has gone off the deep end in my books.
