Jackass films done?

SInce Ryan Dunn died do you think they are going to stop making Jackass films?

I certainly hope so, I never found them entertaining.

It'll probably continue, but there will always be that void.

Jackass 3D made 170 million dollars at the box-office, on a 20 million dollar budget. That does not even include home media revenue, distribution rights, etc.

At this point, a fourth film is all but confirmed.

I think since he died it will only motivate them more to make another one.

I want to agree, but those guys are getting old...how much more abuse can there bodies take? Unless they switched over to a more shocking public pranks format, like some of there skits already are(party boy, bad grandpa etc etc)

On the other hand though I'm a pretty big fan of Jackass mainly through my Teenage years Jackass 3 was pretty bad

Jackass would go on even if Johnny Knoxville had been the one who died. I highly doubt Dunn would have wanted Jackass to end in the event that he died an untimely death. That would be like not making a joke at a comedian's funeral.

I dunno, those guys are getting kinda old.

Really, a comedy movie is what makes you lose faith in humanity? In a time where people could use a laugh more than usual. Sure it is a less sophisticated form of comedy, but surprise, there are people who find it funny even when you don't agree. The men of Jackass make these movies to make people laugh and because they have said themselves that they always have the time of their lives while filming. Who is anybody to say what they're doing is a bad thing. Want to know what makes me lose -1 faith in humanity? I was going through the channels recently one night and came across one of those faith healing channels where a "man of god" promises that your illnesses and pains will disappear if you buy their product. What surprised me in particular was that they have moved on from curing illnesses through the power of god, but now they promise that Jesus will magically place money into your bank account and erase your debts, assuming your a good christian and a paying customer.

Can't we just agree that they are both bad? I concede that your example may be slightly more compelling.

I don't like them a lot. But some of the stuff is funny.

I can't see it happening any time soon because of the death of Ryan Dunn, I think it will dull their interest although I suppose they may see it as a way of paying tribute to him to continue.

I would like to agree but I don't think I can. Anything that is deemed as comedy regardless if it is funny or not, should never be taken seriously. Unless ofcourse someone is getting physically harmed. Mind you that the Jackass crew are professional stuntmen and consent to everything they do. In what specific way is it bad? Is it teaching kids to do stupid things that could kill themselves? Their parents should be monitoring them. Is humanity going backwards morally? humanity hasn't changed a whole lot in the last 3000 years. Considering that we kill millions of ourselves every couple decades in wars, and people will never agree on anything. I don't think jackass is doing more bad than good. I just have a personal rule to never take comedy personally or seriously.

I didn't see Jackass 3 yet, but they should leave it at that. I wouldn't want a fourth without Dunn.
