NCIS is better by far in every aspect. JAG went all soapy and you could see the producers trying to milk as much as possible out of it.

JAG is watchable, and although it's a drama...An ex-navy pilot lawyer who seems to be very good at being a one-man army can get a bit silly. The UK only has a patchy showing of it (series 1-3...and 10, oddly), so I don't know how it develops properly.

NCIS is better. The characters are a bit more plausible and the team does what it should (the lawyering seems a bit thin in JAG at times), rather than suddenly being utterly awesome at skills they probably shouldn't have (though it helps that Gibbs is a former marine in that regard). Tony's comic relief isn't as OTT as Bud's, and Tony is usually portrayed as competent (Bud is much more...mixed).

Which is better than NCIS: LA...which just isn't as good as either. The covert ops team doesn't seem to be that covert...

JAG intro there is a fighter plane and I like fighter planes so anything with a fighter plane in it I like for the most part.

NCIS is one of my favourite shows. althoughtheres the occasional unbelievable parts its normally pretty cool.i have never really watched JAG so i cant really comment on that..

My girlfriend got me into watching NCIS. I never really watched any police/crime shows before that (unless you count The Shield). Mark Harmon is the man.

JAG took itself too seriously, and was therefore unwatchable.

NCIS all the way, only thing I did last summer along with playing Bully. Though this season hasn't been that great.

I don't think NCIS is that good either but it's better than JAG.

NCIS. It's a great show. NCIS LA isn't as good, but it's still watchable and better than a lot of shows on TV today.

For me NCIS is quite a bit better but I think that it's really due to the wider variety of regular actors and the character depth they bring to the show. JAG is something that I only occasionally watch to stare at Catherine Bell but it has little else that interests me.

I have mixed feelings for NCIS. I never get to see some of the seasons because USA only runs the really early ones or the really new ones. I feel like i'm patching up too many holes. I like it sometimes and wish there were more but other times, i just want to change the channel. But overall, i went from disliking to liking it the more i watched, Though my favorite is still Law and Order SVU in terms of crime drama shows.
