And this also had to happen in the timing at the end of Pride Month! All I can say is... wow!

I think we'll have made progress as a society once something like this is no longer considered news
well we are 3/3 on the reactions, right? Goooooooooooooo APATHY!
Well it's more indifference, I suppose.

I usually avoid commenting on stuff like this since it sounds kinda hypocritical to give it any sort of attention but I just couldn't help myself :(

no no, that's what I meant....our comments are indifferent, so it's good, right? Not bad, not good. We just accept it and move on. "Nothing to see here folks", right?
Like you said, no longer considered news...maybe they (news people) consider it news, but we dont.
@mrbojangles25: Yeah, I completely didn't address your comment lol. But yeah, maybe we do have the right idea. Pointing out this is non-news while also not saying something intolerant. I see people "forget" to do the second part sometimes, but I read too many Yahoo comments so that's probably why.

As someone who was raised in a racism and homophobic home (took me forever to shake the "teachings" off) I'm happy to come across a thread like this every now and then. I read the title and was confused for a moment as to what the TC was trying to say...makes me feel good to realise that I've come so far as to it not even register when someone's sexual preferences are talked about.

Most of us don't care. It's a myth that most do.
I get that, but these stories must get enough attention for journalists to make articles about it even though most people don't actually find it newsworthy.
