I'm a huge fan of Jackie Chan but well Jet Li was a highly diciplined wushu fighter. While Jackie Chan was trained in martial arts/acrobats, it was pretty much just for show since he was in Chinese opera.
While I would say Jet Li would most likely win, I would say that at least Jackie Chan would make it look stylish and cool :P
But... he doesn't want... to HURT people!Movie wise Jet Li is much better overall. He is a much better actor. Just watch Danny the dog or Unleased as it is called in some places.

Unleashed is one of my favorite Jet Li movies ;) He actually had an acting coach to get into the role. Jackie Chan's performance in New Police Story sort of rivals that. But I would say the cake goes to Unleashed.Movie wise Jet Li is much better overall. He is a much better actor. Just watch Danny the dog or Unleased as it is called in some places.

I'm a huge fan of Jackie Chan but well Jet Li was a highly diciplined wushu fighter who actually did full contact fighting. While Jackie Chan was trained in martial arts/acrobats, it was pretty much just for show since he was in Chinese opera.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought Jet Li fell under the martial arts/acrobats category. I know he's a wushu champion, but those tournaments were all about kata and acrobatics.
Wasn't aware that he had partaken in any full contact fighters either.

He was, I'm just saying that Jackie Chan used his for the Chinese Opera. But I could be wrong about him participating in full contact competitions. Right now I'll take it off, but I know I read that somewhere.[QUOTE="FlyingArmbar"][QUOTE="martialbullet"]

Jackie Chan has the power of the talismans.
Shi-ro-me
LOL.
Plus an expensive suit that increases his fighting abilities.
I would guess Jet Li, as he seems to know more moves to kill someone and is quicker. But I would think Jackie would put up a really good fight since he definately can take some punishment and still fight back. Dont really know about Jet Li on the other hand.
I definately miss the the movies they both use to make back in the 90's.
Pffft Tony Jaa and Bruce Lee. Watch the Protector(2005) and you'll find out why Tony Jaa can beat them both.

THIS!
Im a kung fu fan and i love the way they fight in their films . Im a fan of both Jet Li and Jackie Chan . If they would fight to death who would win? They were draw in The Forbidden Kingdom so dont tell me "go watch forbidden kingdom" , who would win a fight to death?cmdkylI like both, but Jet Li would own Jackie Chan without even trying. You want to see how awesome Jet Li is? Go watch "Fist of Legend" and "Fist of Legend 2".
Seriously!! In Ong bok he was pretty awesome also. Always elbowing and kneeing everyone.Pffft Tony Jaa and Bruce Lee. Watch the Protector(2005) and you'll find out why Tony Jaa can beat them both.

Did you actually like that movie, Film-Guy? I thought it was was pretty bad. I highly respect Jet Li and enjoy most of his films, but that was kind of a turd of a movie.
edit, to TC...And if we want to be stupid, and ask about who could beat up who...I guess I'd say Jet Li would probably defeat Jackie Chan.
An aside: I saw an interview with Tarantino and Jet Li, and Tarantino, the supposed "expert" on martial arts movies says to Li something along the lines of, "you've been acting in matial arts movies for about 10 years now". To which, Li replied, "actually, 25 years". It's in the extras on the HERO dvd. Man...if you're going to interview someone featured in a film that you are promoting, maybe be a little more familiar with the actor's history. :? :)
Yeah, and Tony Jaa is pretty amazing to watch.
