Before you vote[hopefully you haven't just yet], take some time to read my explanation. One of the most recent artists who drew Thor[and actually made him look good and yet retaining his classic look], Steve McNiven had "inspirations" from different actors in mind while drawing the respective superheroes.

Captain America(Steve Rogers) resembled Brad Pitt Iron Man(Tony Stark) resembled Johnny Depp. Giant Man(Hank Pym) had the features of Matthew McConaughey and so on.

What was interesting was that Thor had no actor in mind and was draw as his impression of Jesus[to quote him "At the risk of sounding crass, I just imagined Thor as Jesus"]. But since none of us obviously know what Jesus looked like, the first thing that most of us think of someone asks you to "visualize Jesus", would be Jim Caviezel's portrayal of him in The Passion of The Christ. Now, just imagine what he looked like there, except with light brown(more of blond) hair and a Thor outfit[Classic preferred, but Ultimate versions work too].

Personally, I feel no other actor(maybe except Karl Urban) who can act [well] will be able to pull of a Thor film better than Jim Caviezel(especially since the director said that he was planning on making Thor an "epic" rather than a normal "superhero" movie].

Robert Downey Jr. is the perfect Classic Tony Stark. Ultimates has Tony Stark looking more like Johnny Depp.

Yeah, I guess his features were modified a bit, like did you know that "MARVELS" rendition of Sue storm and Reed were after the artist's parents?(Yes, I'm serious). But they look nothing like Sue and Reed, but the face shape was drawn according to that. So while it may not fit exactly, roughly it's there. For the Tom Cruise, Robert Downey and Johhny Depp Iron Man debate, that is possible since sometimes two people resemble each other(Zooey Deschanel/Katy Perry and Tiny Fey/Sarah Palin), where as for the portrayal of Jesus[of probably which Thor was drawn according to] would be Jim Caviezel.

From what I understand, he's a born again christian and is really picky about the roles he plays. I don't think he'll want to play a god from another religion.

Why does everyone suggest Caviezel for every single superhero role out there? The guy they've chosen actually looks the part, and he can act. What more do you want? He's also really tall and built like a tank.
