So apparently Jimmy Page is playing "Whole Lotta Love" with Leona Lewis on vocals at the Olympics closing ceremony (google if you don't believe me). Now I realize many of you consider Jimmy Page overrated, but it is practically a fact that he is one of the most influential guitarists of all time. Leona Lewis, on the other hand, was the winner of X Factor(basically a European American idol). It makes me pretty angry to see one of my first guitar idols selling himself out like this, especially after hearing Leona Lewis' mediocre hit single "Bleeding Love" on Youtube. What are your thoughts on this?

She has a good voice, but it's a pop voice, a distinctly commercial voice. Compare her to Janis Joplin or Joan Baez. Now those two would do great on a raunchy rock song like Whole Lotta Love.

I agree that she has an awesome voice, but better than Whitney Houston? I still to this day can see a video of Whitney when she was younger and get blown away by that voice.

Uhmm, not really. He was definitely infuential (layering guitar lines, the whole "lead guitarist" mentality...) but I wouldn't call him one of the most influential guitarists of all time.
