I've wanted them to do a Borg centered movie since I saw the episode of Enterprise where they encounter Borg that were left in the Arctic after the events of First Contact. I think JJ Abrams should direct it. Any other Trekkies out there that would absolutely love a Borg Origins movie?

You mean in JJ Abrams next sequel? Cause even if it's not an Origins story, it'll be awesome if it has the Borg. Though considering it takes place in the Kirk timeline still, it's likely that it would be Khan. I'm not sure how even JJ could work the Borg into the Kirk Era.

for one I would love to see the kirk and his crew face off aganist the borg. on the other hand I rather saved them for awhile. like in the final star trek movie. go out with a bang. Plus I would love to see a war between klingons and Starfleet command. but knowing J.J., he won't do it.

J.J Abrams has a unique way of seeing things in different perspectives so it would be outstanding. That is if they could think of a unique way to fit the Borg into Kirks timeline like mentioned earlier. But I think it would focus around the Klingons in the next film trying to explain that story a little more.

That's all he and his crew were doing in the first new movie was trying to do things in new and interesting ways that made the new Star Trek new a fresh with unique ideas.

Nothing about that sounds good. I wish the Star Trek franchise would just die to be honest. Such a stale series.

It's not so bad. The original series was made 40 years ago. They're trying to re-imagine it or whatever...

If they have the Borg in the next film then they need to be the genuinely scary and the unstoppable force they were when the Next Generation crew bumped into them. Ever since Best of Both Worlds they've gradually gotten less and less foreboding. Voyager just completely ruined them.

Boo on the Borg. Leave the Borg in Picard's time,FFS.

The next Star Trek needs more Mudd's women. Definitely more Mudd's women. Or the Gorn. No, wait, Gary Seven!!!!

Hahaha, a few weeks ago I was standing in our storage room that has double doors. My bf opened the doors when I was standing right behind them, so as the doors opened I raised my hand to point at him and said "harcount Fenton MUDD!" Thankfully, he got it, and was pretty amused.

they managed to squeeze the old Spock into the reboot, I am sure they will have the nerves to make the Enterprise fight the borgs 100 years before their discovery. Khan is just a ridiculous protagonist anyway.

Well, since Enterprise is the only TV series that is still canon (*boggle*), they can do whatever the hell they want. They should look at what happened when Marvel tried to reboot with the Ultimate comics line, though, where everything became a rehash or a winking retread of an old storyline.

JJ Abrams should do a Jean-Luc Picard Star Trek!

Patrick Stewart rocks since he is a "Patrick" like me.
