Welp, seems like the Democrats are happy to not learn, and run another turd candidate. Biden, when asked said "For president. What the hell, man.”
Good to know we wont have another Democrat establishment idiot running for therapeutic reasons....

I dont know. It seems like a slam dunk for him, but I would not put him screwing things up so much, people would find it palatable to suck a turd rather than have him and his kids in power.
No 2020 talk! My god, Trump hasn't even taken office yet. Can we please cross that bridge when we get there?
Joe Biden is 74 years old. In 2020 Joe will be nearly 80....we don't need an 80 year old president.
My money is still on Cory Booker in 2020
@R3FURBISHED:
Isn't Trump approaching 80?
Yes. If he has a second term he will be over 80
Fun Fact: Oldest American ever elected to hold the presidency? Donald Trump
EDIT: While the fun fact is true, the first part is not. Trump is only 70, I think I was thinking about Bernie who is 74.

What he said. Got so tired of hearing about the 2016 election. Have mercy.

Cory Booker has gone ass out by this point. Taking money from Wall Street is a dealbreaker for me.
Biden/Obama 2020
Obama can´t run for VP
Since he had his 2 terms it would be impossible for him to run as VP
Unless you mean his wife, and then why would any democrat who has gone on and on about Trump´s inexperience pick a candidate that has absolute zero experience other than being the wife of a bad but popular president.

This is actually an unknown, its never been contested. I would think they could, but they would have to remain as VP if something happened to the president and the move up would go to the speaker.
That said after being president for 8 years, and aging 30 in that span, i dont think any president wants to be anywhere near the position.

Well, considering the 12th amendment.
"But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States."
You are right in that , this is not absolute final but you can be 100% sure that the opposing party would file a lawsuit the instant the other party named a former president as VP, and it would be go all the way to the supreme court. Meaning that all media would be on that and not on the person running for president. And to be fair no party would ever even consider opening that pandora's box.
Not even the liberal democrats for a VP Obama.

Maybe what happened in 2016 has opened the possibility of an ideological Democrat (Bernie Sanders) to actually become the nomination, we'll have to see. I'd love to see Elizabeth Warren run, but in 2020 she'll be 71. Do we really want a 74 and a 71 year old as candidates?
A 50, or even better, a 40 year old run would be ideal. What would be awesome is to see a competent candidate who is in his/her 30's (say, 37)!

Biden says, "he does give a ****."
He would have easily won had he ran this time. Oh well.
That's iffy.
He would have had a better chance than Hillary but he didnt excite people either. Which is what the democrats need to win.
Clinton only lost by a few 100,000 votes. Diamond Joe would have brought out those lazy non-voters and converted a lot of rural whites to his side.

I think you're really overestimating peoples like for Biden. He would have lacked the same votes as Hillary, the reason she lost was because progressives and actual democrats are tired of the establishment and Biden defines that just as much as Hillary. And just like Hillary he would have focused on the wrong things because its the DNC running the show and the DNC is as out of touch with reality as republicans.
@R3FURBISHED:
30's is too young, at least in their late 40's but 50's is probably ideal, mucho potential for accumulated wisdom and experience with life and American history there.
Trump (70's) is too old but Hillary was right behind him in age. I think the sweet spot for president is like age 45 - 65 but it depends on the person.

Haha....no. Reality will bite his voters in the ass hard and his message won't work a second time since he's doing what he said he wouldn't.
I will say he would have a better shot then Hillary. I am not a big Obama supporter, but don't be delusional and think if he had a chance at a third term he would have lost to Trump. Hilldog, was just a unbelievably stupid choice and the dems got what they deserved.

His name has been thrown around a lot, I think he could actually get some of the progressives Hillary scared off.

That is what I hope for and would make the most sense. But if anything regarding him made sense then he would not have made it past the primaries, so I won't get my hopes up that this is his last term.
You give the average Trump voter too much credit my friend.
Haha....no. Reality will bite his voters in the ass hard and his message won't work a second time since he's doing what he said he wouldn't.

He's a one trick pony and eventually his ponies will realize they've been tricked.
Edit....also he got votes because some people didn't like Clinton...not because they actually liked Trump. That's not going to happen again either.

Also the margin he won by is tiny so I don't think it's a guarantee at this point he will get a second term especially if he screws up and loses the people that reluctantly supported him in the recent presidential election and the democrats are able to rally their base to vote against him even more then they did this year. I don't see him winning the popular vote in 2020 anyway even if he wins that election unless he can somehow find a way to not get crushed in the Western part of the US, but since states like AZ, CA and etc in the west are either moving further towards the democrats or towards the democrats I don't think it's likely for trump to avoid getting crushed in the Western part of the US again.

People said JFK was too young and he was doing an amazing job. As you said yourself, it depends on the person -- there is no reason to assume someone in their mid 30s can't be president.
@AFBrat77: "30's is too young, at least in their late 40's but 50's is probably ideal, mucho potential for accumulated wisdom and experience with life and American history there."
No it's time for a young president. The future of the world is base on young people's. What better way to lead this movement with a under 45 President.

His supporters already fell for a cardboard cutout of a con man. The mere fact that they believed his claims to begin with makes anything possible in my view.

I accepted the fact that I would be mad either way months ago. His people are calling what determines a fact into question. When people in power start questioning reality in truths, anything crazy can happen, and with a democratic establishment that seems to want to lose at every level whilst doing nothing to address their failures, I dont see anything being outside the realm of possibility. The fact that the CEO of Carl's Jr. is in the running for labor secretary shows me our world is simply becoming a little bit more insane.
I would rather be back in 2006, yelling at the girl I was with for dragging me into a shitty movie called Idiocracy, not looking at the parallels between that movie and reality, like it's the work of Orwell.

I really hope you guys are right. I will buy you both a beer in four years if you are!
Biden creeps me out.

We have a President elect who gives no fucks. We dont need another one of these idiots.
