depp is a good choice (i wanted daniel day-lewis), but cher as catwoman?
This topic is locked from further discussion.
It makes some sense if you read the description they put:
A studio executive said: "Cher is Nolan's first choice to play Catwoman. He wants to her to portray her like a vamp in her twilight years.
So far both of the new Batman movies have had a bit of a different take on the source material so this could just be a different portrayal of Catwoman. But like others have said already, I'll believe it when I see it.
I don't think Cher would look sexy in a catwoman suit :?MrEnvelope
"The new Catwoman will be the absolute opposite of Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry's purring creations."
Maybe they're trying to make her as unattractive as possible:lol:

I want Catwoman to be nice and sexy not the opposite. Anyways, i don't think Nolan would include catwoman in his movies:D
johnny dep would be amazing. but as for Cher, i doubt he would pick her. i mean look what he did to Heath. the role was so dark and psychotic that he got depressed from it. i doubt Cher of all people would want to put herself through that. dissonantblack
No he didn't..

....sigh
thats not why he died people
They are already starting to cast for the 3rd one?MattUD1
Nope. A third one is not even official yet. Riddler and Catwoman are not even official as characters in the film. Seems like a rumor that came from nowhere and people believe it for some reason.
This whole doubting of Cher giving a good performance as Catwoman is similar to the doubt Heath got when he was cast as the Joker.HillyBillyNot really, Ledger had just come off an oscar nomination, there was only a backlash because he had only done comedies and dramas before, never anything remotely like the Joker, it was never a doubt of his acting ability, just of his suitablity.
In any case, he was a very gifted actor, just because he was unexpectedly superb, doesn't mean any unexpected casting choice will be.

actually when the news of Heath Ledger was posted in OT few years back Everyone basically doubted this movie. Going from Brokeback Mountain to the Joker was what questioned everyone[QUOTE="FUBAR24"]Depp is good but id rather have Haley Berry back as catwoman instead of cher :?6_voltsWhy Haley Berry? Halle Berry played a horrible Catwoman in the abomination of a "movie" Catwoman. He's basically saying Cher would be worse.
There's no way I'm believing Depp is the choice this early on.
That said, if he is chosen at some point in the future, it's a solid choice. Here's a better option, though: David Tennant.

I've never found the Telegraph to be a reliable source.
 Cher is 62? Holy ****! Where's the romance in that?
