I'm not going to lie, being 18 i didn't really grow up on his movies (except home alone ofcourse :P ) But i have watched a few and really enjoyed them.

Just heard of this, had to search for a topic. Sucks, I've seen most of his movies on television coming up in the 90s; I love Ferris Bueller to this day, among many others. It should also be mentioned Weird Science brought my older brothers and I so close :(. Great times.

Saw a bio on msnbc or somewhere today and realized I've seen every one of his movies. He was one of the seminal directors of my childhood/teenage years. Too young, sad.

Too young indeed. His "teen" movies we're great and not even comparable in calibre to the ones that come out today as his were EPIC. At work, we all started talking about our favorite quotes from his movies. So sad. RIP.
